Afterschool Coordinator

We’re hiring! At First Page we’re looking for an after school coordinator to manage our team of teachers that work in different off site public schools around Barcelona. This position is mainly office based but teaching experience is a must as coordinators are required to cover classes when teachers are missing. If you like organizing activities, running your team of teachers, are good at office work and have experience teaching but you don’t feel like being in a classroom all the time, this is your job! Applicants must: * speak catalan and english at a native level * organizational skills * communication skills * good rapport with children * experience coordinating teams * be available from 1st of september * have basic office skills An idea of your daily tasks would be: * managing and training teachers * doing follow up on your teachers \- auditing classes * organize content for teachers, adapting our syllabus to suit each school * make sure teachers follow the syllabus * run monthly meetings * being a contact person between teachers and public schools * helping teachers create exciting projects for special holidays such as halloween or christmas * keep tabs on material * covering classes when teachers are missing Contract is “fijo discontinuo” and runs from the 1st of September until the 30th of June and will be restarted on the 1st of september of the following year. There’s the possibility of “indefinido” as well, depending on the needs of the employee. Start date is the 1st of september. This is a permanent position with possibility of growth in the company. Position is 20h/week from 14:00 to 18:00 monday to thursday Gross salary is 960€/month First Page English School is located in Sant Antoni in Barcelona and the schools we service are mainly in the same neighborhood except for a couple.
