Grupo Planeta is currently looking for a **Controller** for our VIU University, part of the Planeta Formación y Universidades division. What would your main responsibilities be? * **Analyze and supervise the company’s accounting accounts**, including monthly closings, verification of correct entry of accounting transactions (centralized by the central Accounting Department), and preparation of cost/income forecasts. * **Treasury management and ongoing monitoring and control of cash flow**. * **Economic, accounting, and analytical support** to other departments in an advisory capacity. * **Analysis and monitoring of cost variances**, as part of economic budgetary control with each area. * **Preparation of documentation** for external auditors for annual financial statements and coordination of audit processes with other departments. * **Analysis, presentations, and financial and accounting reporting** to stakeholders (General Management, Board of Directors, Divisional Board, etc.). * **Budgeting, planning, and updates** throughout the year in collaboration with other departments. * **Consolidation and profitability analysis by product**. * **Accounting control and ongoing monitoring** of balance sheet accounts, capex, and entity revenues. * **Implementation of internal control systems**: Establishes and oversees internal control systems to ensure the integrity and reliability of financial information. * **Cost monitoring and control**: Develops systems and processes to control and reduce operational costs. This includes evaluating resource efficiency and proposing corrective actions when necessary. * **Definition and tracking of key performance indicators (KPIs)** to assess performance and achievement of objectives. * **Ensuring compliance with applicable financial/tax regulations**, in coordination with centralized holding departments. What would we like to see on your CV? * Required education: Degree or Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration and Management (ADE), or related business studies. * Professional experience: 5–10 years in similar roles. * Solid accounting and financial knowledge: In-depth understanding of financial and accounting principles and practices. * Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI. * Experience with ERP accounting systems in large enterprises. * Experience in the university or educational sector will be valued.
