




We are seeking an **R&D ENGINEER** assigned to the Technology Development Department, which includes all Applied Research and Technology Development activities of the company, focusing primarily on Renewable Energies, Energy Storage Systems, Hybrid Power Generation Systems, CO2 Capture, Biofuels and Synthetic Fuels, Energy Efficiency, and Operational Energy Asset Management Systems. The candidate will report to the Project Manager assigned to each development and will be responsible for: * Technically coordinating and executing technology development projects in processes, products, and industrial services within the energy sector according to the allocated budget, contributing to the company's innovative, competitive, and sustainable growth. * Staying up to date with state-of-the-art technologies in their field, regulations, patents, etc. Main responsibilities include: * Defining, planning, coordinating, and executing technology development projects within the industrial energy sector in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. * Specifically (descriptively and not restrictively): + Formulating optimization problems by defining objective functions and constraints for complex problems (energy, thermal, mechanical, economic, logistical, etc.) + Integrating multi-objective and multi-constraint techniques to solve complex problems. + Developing mathematical and simulation models of systems to be optimized (thermofluids, energy networks, structures, etc.). + Applying artificial intelligence techniques in the development of predictive models to approximate the behavior of physically expensive-to-simulate systems. * Preparing technical proposals and reports for investment approval, funding acquisition, certifications, and/or intellectual and industrial property rights. * Participating in transferring developed technologies to Business Units and supporting commercial launch activities. * Proposing organizational participation in relevant events and conferences. **Requirements:** * Higher university degree in Industrial Engineering, Energy, Chemical Engineering, Computer Science, or a degree in Mathematics, Physics, and/or equivalent fields. * A Master’s or PhD in areas related to optimization and applied artificial intelligence techniques is desirable. * Minimum of 5 years of experience in similar roles (Technology Centers, R&D departments of technology companies in the energy sector, etc.). * Experience in project management, product development, or process improvement. * Knowledge of innovation methodologies (Design Thinking, TRIZ, Lean R&D) will be valued. * Experience in research projects within the scope of Applied Research and Technology Development activities of the company’s Technology Development Department will be considered an advantage. * Demonstrable experience in optimization and artificial intelligence techniques, as well as development and integration using programming languages such as Python, Matlab, C++, etc. **We Offer**: * Indefinite contract directly with EAG. * Flexible working hours and reduced working day during summer. * Language bonuses. * Free English and/or French classes with native teachers. * Life insurance. * Childcare allowance. * Flexible compensation solutions (transport card, childcare vouchers, etc.). * Discount on private health insurance.
