At Admon Talent, we are looking for a PLC Programmer for a machinery manufacturer located in the Vallès Occidental. RESPONSIBILITIES PLC Software Development: * Develop and maintain PLC software for complex industrial machinery and automated production systems. * Program machine sequences, operating modes, state machines, process control, alarms, interlocks, and recovery sequences. * Develop robust and structured PLC code using Structured Text (ST) and Ladder Logic. * Analyze existing machine software and implement improvements in reliability, maintainability, diagnostics, and performance. * Develop reusable software modules and standardized functions that can be deployed across different machines and projects. * Participate in the continuous evolution and standardization of InduBond’s machine software platform. * Develop and enhance machine safety logic and process protection, including alarm management, interlocks, fault detection, and controlled recovery strategies. * Perform offline development, simulation, and testing prior to deployment on machines. Incident Resolution and Software Analysis: * Diagnose complex machinery failures related to PLC logic, sensors, actuators, communications, HMI, servos, and peripheral equipment. * Analyze machine data, alarm histories, and process sequences to identify root causes of intermittent or difficult-to-reproduce failures. * Provide technical support to Service and Commissioning teams when advanced software analysis is required. * Implement diagnostic tools and software improvements to facilitate remote incident resolution and machine maintenance. * Participate in root cause analysis and corrective actions for machines installed at customer facilities worldwide. HMI and Machine Interface: * Develop and maintain HMI applications and machine user interfaces. * Implement alarm visualization, machine status, recipes, parameters, diagnostics, and maintenance functions. * Work with PC-based applications and HMI systems that communicate directly with the PLC. Industrial Communications * Configure and program industrial networks and communication protocols. * Integrate PLCs with HMIs, PCs, remote I/O, servo systems, robots, sensors, and other industrial equipment. * Work with Ethernet-based industrial communications and protocols such as Modbus TCP, OPC UA, and other machine-to-machine communication systems. * Develop and resolve communication issues between machines and higher-level factory systems when necessary. Motion Control and Servos: * Configure and program servo drives and motion control systems. * Develop positioning, synchronization, and motion sequences integrated into the machine’s overall logic. * Diagnose issues related to servos, encoders, positioning, and motion. Machine Commissioning and Validation: * Load, test, and validate PLC and HMI software on newly manufactured machines. * Perform I/O checks, functional tests, and full validation of machine sequences. * Verify correct operation of sensors, actuators, safety systems, communications, and peripheral equipment. * Higher Vocational Training Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree, or Master’s Degree in Industrial Automation, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field. * Minimum of 5 years’ professional experience in industrial machinery programming and/or automated production equipment controlled by PLCs. * Solid knowledge of PLC programming and ability to understand and develop complex machinery sequences. * Good knowledge of Structured Text (ST) and Ladder Logic. * Strong understanding of industrial automation architectures, sensors, actuators, I/O systems, and machine control. * Experience troubleshooting complex and intermittent machinery issues. * Good knowledge of industrial networks and communication protocols. * Experience in HMI development and PLC-HMI integration. * Experience with servo systems and motion control will be especially valued. * Permanent contract with a rapidly growing technology company. * Opportunity to have a direct impact on the architecture and development of machine control software. * Continuous and specialized technical training. * Specific training in Panasonic PLCs and servos when required. * Work with cutting-edge industrial automation technology and highly demanding international clients. * Participate in developing new machines as well as continuously improving an international installed base. * Flexible intensive working hours Monday to Friday (7:00–15:00). * SBA: 42\.000\-52\.000€.
