We have a career opportunity for the **IT Analyst** role at our offices in Madrid or Barcelona, supporting customers in Spain and Italy.
We are seeking a professional to provide technical support for computational engineering tools. The person will work directly on problem diagnosis, user support, and guidance on best practices for using computational resources, as well as contribute recommendations regarding hardware infrastructure to improve application performance.
We seek a curious, analytical individual with strong problem-investigation capabilities. The professional should be interested in understanding how high-performance applications utilize computational resources and how to enhance their efficiency.
Responsibilities
* Provide technical support to users of simulation and computational engineering tools.
* Diagnose and resolve issues related to application execution in **Linux** environments.
* Analyze logs, runtime errors, and technical application performance.
* Assist in identifying CPU, RAM, and GPU bottlenecks.
* Recommend appropriate hardware configurations for different types of workloads.
* Support optimization of computational resource usage.
* Document solutions and support best practices.
* Provide technical support to internal users and executives.
* Configure and prepare laptops and desktop computers.
* Support onboarding/offboarding processes and setup for new employees.
* Provide basic support for corporate infrastructure (printers, access management, peripherals, and workstations).
Required Qualifications
* Languages: Italian, C2 level\.
* Languages: English, technical and professional level.
* Solid knowledge of Linux operating systems (command line, troubleshooting, services).
* Experience in technical support or IT infrastructure.
* Experience configuring and supporting desktop computers, laptops, and peripherals.
* Ability to analyze and diagnose application problems.
* Basic/intermediate knowledge of hardware architecture (CPU, RAM, GPU).
* Excellent technical communication skills with users; organized and analytical profile focused on customer support and problem resolution.
**Preferred Qualifications**
* Experience with simulation or engineering tools (e.g., ANSYS or similar).
* Knowledge of High-Performance Computing (HPC) environments.
* Experience with parallelism, performance optimization, or scientific workloads.
* Familiarity with computational clusters and distributed systems.
* Knowledge of Cybersecurity.
