This is a temporary position to cover a medical leave and offers an excellent opportunity to become part of a world-class international educational environment. RESPONSIBILITIES: The Head Chef’s primary responsibility will be to coordinate and supervise the kitchen’s daily operations, ensuring the preparation of balanced, healthy, and high-quality meals for students and staff. They will be responsible for organizing the kitchen team, assigning tasks, supervising food preparation and service processes, and ensuring compliance with the school’s hygiene, food safety, and quality standards. Additionally, they will manage inventory control, ordering, goods receipt, and product storage, ensuring efficient resource management and minimizing food waste. Furthermore, they will collaborate with school leadership and the dining services team to guarantee outstanding service, accommodate specific dietary requirements, and promote healthy eating habits among students. IDEAL CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS: Culinary or Gastronomy education or related field. Valid Food Handler Certificate. Proven experience as Head Chef or in similar leadership roles. Solid knowledge of HACCP and food safety regulations. Experience managing kitchen teams. Strong organizational, planning, and leadership skills. Effective communication and teamwork abilities. Proactive, responsible attitude focused on service quality. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Prior experience in school cafeterias, collective catering, or educational environments. Knowledge of nutrition and development of children’s menus. Ability to manage high-volume meal services. Availability to start at the beginning of the academic year.
