Summary: We are seeking a Social Worker for immediate assessment of emergency cases of child abuse and coordination of protective interventions. Highlights: 1. Technical support to child and family welfare services A Social Worker is required for EVAMI’s child abuse assessment teams in the Barcelona comarques. The role involves immediate attention and assessment—within the professional scope of social work—of emergency cases arising from situations of child abuse, acting swiftly and effectively to initiate child protection procedures where appropriate, and providing coordinated responses with the child protection network for each specific situation. Immediate attention to emergency cases detected in the healthcare setting that may involve possible child abuse. Assessing and evaluating risk situations within the family unit to ensure the protection of the child and/or adolescent. Proposing effective protective measures tailored to each case. Carrying out preventive actions in response to identified risk or abuse situations. Providing technical support to services involved in child and family welfare, within the worker’s area of expertise. Preparing reports and notifying decisions. EVAMI comarques of Barcelona * Minimum 12 months’ experience. A degree in Social Work is mandatory, along with complementary training in childhood at risk and families, and two years’ experience in similar activities.
