Position Summary: We are seeking SSI diving instructors to deliver training, guide dives, and supervise students, ensuring safety and compliance with protocols. Key Highlights: 1. Supervise students ensuring safety and group control We seek to hire SSI diving instructors for the summer season of 2026. The main responsibilities of this position will be: \- Deliver recreational diving training according to SSI standards, especially entry-level programs and beginner courses. \- Conduct introductory diving activities, baptism dives, Try Scuba, Basic Diver, Scuba Diver, and Open Water Diver courses. \- Guide dives and activities with certified divers. \- Prepare, inspect, and organize diving equipment before and after activities. \- Supervise students and clients throughout all activities, ensuring safety, group control, and adherence to established protocols. \- Explain equipment operation, safety rules, basic exercises, and pre-dive procedures. \- Assist with daily center logistics: loading/unloading equipment, cleaning, tidying, equipment checks, and supporting trip organization. \- Serve clients professionally, approachably, and clearly—answering questions and conveying confidence. \- Comply with SSI standards, applicable regulations, and internal center protocols. \- Support other center activities related to courses, experiences, excursions, and tourism services linked to diving. Essential Requirements: \- Minimum certification: SSI Open Water Instructor or higher. \- Valid professional liability insurance for working as a diving instructor. \- Up-to-date professional certifications and documentation. \- Experience in introductory diving activities, basic courses, and/or dive guiding. \- Strong command of Spanish. \- Ability to work with beginner students, convey confidence, and manage small groups. \- Responsibility, punctuality, professional attitude, and ability to work effectively in a team. \- Availability to work during the summer season, from June to September 2026. \- Availability to work weekends and holidays as required by operational needs. Preferred Qualifications (Not Essential): \- Intermediate or higher level of English and/or French. \- Additional SSI specialties or higher-level qualifications. \- Prior experience at diving centers, diving schools, or active tourism operations. \- Valid driver’s license. \- Basic knowledge of diving equipment maintenance and care. \- Experience in customer service, tourism, nautical or sports activities. \- Residence in Barcelona, Badalona, or surrounding areas. * Experience: 4 months. We seek to hire SSI diving instructors for the summer season of 2026. Temporary contract of 4 months (June\-September). Full-time schedule from 9:00 to 18:00.
