**Description:** ---------------- At CBS, we are BIM methodology specialists and are currently involved in developing Spain’s leading BIM implementation projects. Over our 15+ years of experience, we have completed more than 1,000 national and international projects, requiring multidisciplinary teams, continuous innovation, and application of cutting-edge techniques across various domains. We carry out project design and calculation through the work of our drafters, modelers, and engineers — covering both proprietary projects and technical assistance for engineering firms, construction companies, and real estate asset management firms. Additionally, we provide BIM and technological advisory and consulting services to enterprises at different stages. We are currently recruiting a **Purchasing Engineer** for an important energy project in Barcelona. **Key Responsibilities:** * Develop and implement the project’s procurement strategy. * Fully manage procurement and contracting processes, from tendering through execution and contractual closeout. * Identify, evaluate, and select potential suppliers of equipment, construction companies, installation contractors, and service providers. * Prepare shortlists of suitable suppliers and contractors for brownfield and greenfield projects. * Prepare, coordinate, and monitor requests for quotations and tendering processes. * Technically and economically analyze received proposals in coordination with various engineering disciplines. * Participate in contract negotiations and awarding of contracts and supply packages. * Monitor approximately 75 contracts and supplies related to the project. * Manage contractual modifications and Change Orders. * Control costs, financial deviations, and compliance with contractual terms. * Handle routine issues arising during construction and project execution. * Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, service providers, and internal project teams. * Monitor supplier and contractor performance regarding cost, schedule, and contractual obligations. **Minimum Requirements** * Senior engineer expert in PROCUREMENT of service packages, equipment supply, and construction companies for industrial projects, coordinating closely with project engineers across civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, and piping disciplines. * Minimum 5 years’ specific experience managing procurement for Fast Track projects, performing the responsibilities listed above. * Experience in major projects in Spain with top-tier companies (primarily civil and structural construction firms, and electrical, mechanical, and piping installation contractors) will be valued. * Contract monitoring, Change Order management, and financial control of all contractors, suppliers, and service providers linked to the project (approx. 75 contracts/supplies). * Minimum English proficiency level B2 is mandatory; C1 is preferred. **What We Offer:** * Permanent contract. * Opportunity to join a leading engineering firm. * Full-time position. * Training plan. **If you are considering a professional change and find it interesting to start your career with a pioneering company in the engineering sector, we look forward to hearing from you!** **Requirements:** --------------- **Minimum Requirements** * University degree in Engineering. * 10–15 years of experience in procurement management for industrial projects. * Experience in procurement and contracting within EPC or EPCM projects. * Experience in projects executed under Fast Track methodology. * Experience in contractual monitoring, financial control, and Change Order management. * Knowledge of the equipment supplier, construction, installation, and service provider markets. * English B2. * Availability to work on-site at the Zona Franca area of the Port of Barcelona.
