Posted: 23 April 2026 Deadline: 09 May 2026 At Som Energia—the non-profit green energy cooperative with the largest membership base in the European Union—we are looking for a person to fill the position of Financial Controller in our Technical Team. We envision a rigorous and flexible individual, motivated to immerse themselves in an ever-changing, challenging environment. With experience in controller functions and affinity for Som Energia’s values, this person will be committed to contributing fully to a collective project involving over 87\.000 members and entities, with annual revenue of €74M. Here are a couple of links of interest to help you better understand the cooperative’s scope at different levels: the Social and Economic Report and the Equality Portal. ### **Responsibilities** * Prepare and monitor the cooperative’s annual accounts and business performance results. * Account to teams: thorough project tracking and performance traceability. * Analyze variances and monitor team expenditures. * Control costs and margins for the cooperative’s services and products. * Prepare reports and presentations containing clear information to support decision-making. * Collaborate with the accounting team on management control tasks. * Participate in internal (Accounting Oversight) and external audits. * Implement improvements in financial and accounting processes. ### **Competencies** * Analytical, proactive, and results-oriented thinking. * Interpretation and processing of financial information data. * Attention to detail, order, and planning. * Effective and assertive communication. * Problem-solving ability and capacity to set boundaries. * Teamwork. ### **Essential Requirements** * Prior experience in a controller role. * Degree in Business Administration and Management, Economics or equivalent, or equivalent professional experience. * Proficiency in financial control and data analysis software tools. * Solid knowledge of accounting and finance. * Affinity with the values of the Social and Solidarity Economy and with Som Energia’s Code of Ethics. ### **Desirable Requirements** * Knowledge of the electricity sector. ### **What We Offer** * Immediate integration into the Girona work team, with the possibility of **partial remote work**. * Indefinite contract of **35 hours per week**, with flexible working hours and the option to reduce working hours to 30 hours per week with proportional salary reduction. * **Initial remuneration between €44\.749,32 and €47\.382,18 gross per year**, depending on the selected candidate’s experience. * Insight into the electricity market from the perspective of a non-profit renewable energy generation and supply cooperative operating within a self-managed framework. * The opportunity to be part of an effective tool for promoting energy and social transition. ### **How Can I Apply?** If you are interested in applying for this position, please submit your motivation letter and CV via this form **by next** **8 May**.
