Palex Medical Technical Service 4 hours ago Description **Palex Medical** is seeking a **Field Service Engineer** for our Technical Service Department (SAT), covering the Iberian region. **Location:** Barcelona or surrounding areas. The selected candidate will be responsible for providing specialized technical support for advanced **optical microscopy equipment (Nikon)**, ensuring high-quality after-sales service. This role combines fieldwork, remote assistance, and technical coordination, aiming to guarantee proper equipment operation and maximum customer satisfaction. **Key Responsibilities** * Installation, validation, and commissioning of instruments at customer sites. * Diagnosis, preventive and corrective maintenance, both on-site and in the workshop. * Specialized technical support for external and internal customers, ensuring efficient and high-quality responses. * Remote assistance and telephone support for resolving technical issues. * Continuous communication with customers to ensure satisfaction and implement corrective actions when necessary. * Preparation and management of technical documentation and service reports, ensuring timely and accurate delivery. * Compliance with internal procedures, quality standards, and safety protocols. * Promotion of maintenance contracts and associated services to strategic customers. * Collaboration with commercial and marketing teams for instrument park renewal and growth. **Education and Required Knowledge** * Degree in Engineering, Vocational Training Level 2 / Higher Vocational Training, or Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Biomedical Engineering, Biotechnology, or related fields. * Knowledge of maintenance and diagnostics for microscopy equipment. * Experience in Life Science environments. * Proficiency with computer tools and technical management systems. * Minimum English level B2 (technical context). **Personal Competencies** We seek a candidate who is: * Committed, proactive, and focused on service quality. * Autonomous, organized, and capable of managing field activities independently. * Analytical-minded with strong skills in solving complex technical problems. * Excellent communicator with a strong customer orientation. * Flexible and adaptable to dynamic environments. * A team player with cross-functional collaboration skills.
