**Description:** ---------------- At **Veltech**, we are seeking a **Data Scientist** specialized in **Forecasting** to design, implement, and maintain predictive models with direct business impact. **Responsibilities** * Advanced analytics: Selection, implementation, and deployment of Data Science algorithms, especially those oriented toward forecasting. * Feature engineering: Creation of features, handling of seasonality, and incorporation of external factors. * Model maintenance: Performance monitoring, drift detection, and model re\-training. * Strategic communication: Translation of technical metrics into business impact and relevant KPIs. **Requirements:** --------------- * Experience: Proven track record in specific forecasting projects. * Technical stack: Advanced proficiency in Python or R and SQL. * Algorithms: Knowledge of classical models (ARIMA, Exponential Smoothing) and Machine Learning models (XGBoost, Prophet, LSTM). * Validation: Experience with error metrics (MAPE, RMSE, MAE) and backtesting techniques. * Preferred: Prior experience in the airline industry.
