





Description We are looking for a **mid-level Data Engineer** to join a social impact organization working to improve educational opportunities, emotional well-being, and personal development in contexts of vulnerability. In this project, data is not used to sell more or optimize a digital product, but to **demonstrate real social impact**, evaluate programs, and **advocate proven models before public administrations**. Data is a tool for social transformation. **Purpose of the role** * Transform data into **evidence** enabling improvement and scaling of social projects * Bring rigor and traceability to models impacting education, health, and community development * Participate in building the database supporting the **2027–2030 Strategic Plan** **Technical challenge** * Evolve an **Azure Data Lake + Databricks**, currently in its initial phase * Move from raw data to a **Medallion architecture (Bronze / Silver / Gold)** * Integrate multiple data sources from vastly different contexts * Ensure data quality, consistency, and reliability * Work with already-defined indicators that remain underutilized **Technical context** * Infrastructure on **Azure** * **Databricks** as core processing platform * Development in **Scala** (primary) + **PySpark and SQL** * Salesforce as cross-cutting tool * Data sources to integrate: internal tools, Excel, Typeform, Moodle, Sage, Factorial, among others * Ecosystem under construction, supported by an **external consultancy** **Way of working** * **Startup mindset**, pragmatic and oriented toward building Basic requirements **What we seek** **Mandatory** * Experience as a Data Engineer in cloud environments (Azure) * Databricks Desired requirements **Desirable** * Scala and/or PySpark * Solid SQL * Experience designing and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines **Highly important** * Autonomy and accountability * Ability to understand the business and translate it into data solutions * Strong communication skills * Mindset of continuous improvement and building 45000 Barcelona Hybrid **Contact person:** enocete@q-techrec.com 656 362 819
