Customer New Technology Manager
The Customer New Technology Manager is responsible for driving the introduction, promotion, and adoption of new manufacturing technologies among OEM customers, serving as the primary liaison between the Tech Center, business divisions, and commercial teams.
Their mission is to identify market opportunities, develop competitive value propositions, and ensure the conversion of opportunities into awarded projects, thereby contributing to Gestamp’s growth and strategic positioning.
Key responsibilities and areas of accountability
Lead the presentation and promotion of new technologies to OEM customers, ensuring effective technical and business communication
Coordinate technical activities between the customer and the Tech Center, aligning requirements, timelines, and project objectives
Develop competitive business cases by consolidating technical, economic, and commercial information from various divisions
Provide technical and strategic support to commercial teams during meetings, negotiations, and business development activities
Manage the tracking of proposals and the opportunity pipeline, identifying risks and necessary actions to maximize success rates
Identify new business opportunities and lead internal coordination required to secure new awards
Maintain close relationships with OEM customers and other key industry stakeholders to anticipate future trends and needs
Required qualifications
University degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Materials or related field)
Postgraduate studies in business management, business development, or strategy will be valued
Solid knowledge of advanced manufacturing processes, preferably Hot Stamping and High Speed Technologies

Strong communication and influence skills with OEM customers
Business orientation and ability to develop value propositions and business cases
Cross-functional leadership and multidisciplinary team coordination skills
Analytical capability and strategic vision
Proactive, organized, and results-oriented profile
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
Excellent presentation and negotiation skills
Required language proficiency
**English:** Advanced level (C1 or higher), both spoken and written
**Spanish:** Professional level
Knowledge of additional languages will be positively considered
Required professional experience
Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial environments related to the automotive sector
Experience in business development, OEM customer management, or launch of new technologies
Experience in coordinating multidisciplinary technical projects
Demonstrable knowledge of forming processes, hot stamping, or advanced manufacturing technologies will be highly valued
Travel availability
Willingness to travel frequently to OEM customers, technology centers, and production plants, both nationally and internationally
Approximately 10% of working time
