Description
At Expertise Talent, we are selecting a CNC Lathe Setup/Programmer for a company specializing in precision mechanical engineering and manufacturing, located in Sant Cugat del Vallès (Barcelona).
**Responsibilities:**
* Setup and programming of prototypes and high-precision short production runs, in coordination with the Technical and Quality Departments.
* Responsible for developing machine programs and archiving them.
* Responsible for setting up machines assigned to production orders.
* Collaborate in developing and improving manufacturing methods.
* Define machining processes: where required by the Technical Office, define the manufacturing process based on drawings and technical documentation, determining machining strategies, fixtures, tools, and parameters necessary for producing prototypes and high-precision short production runs.
* Program, set up, and adjust CNC lathes: program directly at the machine (Fanuc/ISO) and/or via CAD/CAM, set up and adjust CNC lathes, load and adjust tools, define workpiece zeros and machining parameters.
* Machine parts using CNC lathes: machine complex parts on CNC lathes, perform adjustments and corrections during the process, and ensure compliance with dimensional tolerances and surface finishes specified in the drawings.
* Verify product characteristics: dimensionally and functionally inspect machined parts using measuring instruments, validating product quality, accuracy, and conformity.
**Requirements:**
* Minimum 5 years’ experience in setup and programming of complex parts in short but repetitive production runs.
* Experience in dimensional verification and inspection.
* Proficiency with Okuma lathes equipped with Y-axis, Okuma Multus, and Mazak Integrex machines.
* Experience in Fanuc programming directly at the machine.
* High-level ability to interpret drawings, tolerances, and part inspection requirements.
* Knowledge of IGF or CAD/CAM programming (HyperMILL preferred).
* Comprehensive Health and Safety regulations. General mechanical knowledge.
* Ability to define manufacturing processes and strategies.
Conditions:
* Permanent employment contract and stable project.
* Remuneration of €30,000–€33,000 Gross/Year, commensurate with the candidate’s qualifications.
* Intensive shift schedule: afternoon shift from 14:00 to 22:00 Monday to Friday, or night shift from 22:00 to 06:00 Monday to Friday (candidate’s preference).
