Specifically, according to internal specialization, to carry out tasks related to process and plant safety, industrial safety, and emergency management and response; personnel safety; intellectual property; transport of hazardous materials (MMPP); HSEQ management system; product stewardship; and products, in compliance with applicable legal regulations, national, regional, and local legislation, as well as internal guidelines. **Key Functions and Responsibilities** * Support in developing SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) for repetitive processes within production units to establish safe procedures with integrated risk analysis. * Conduct field audits and OPS (Preventive Safety Observations) to identify safety improvement opportunities and prevent incidents on site. * Coordinate and supervise work performed by EESS (service providers) to improve compliance with internal regulations and conduct audits to enhance safety in their services on site. * Technical experience in chemical processes and in activities related to EESS specialties, enabling critical safety-oriented assessment and contribution of globally adopted best practices currently implemented in the sector. * Proven field experience in the sector enabling effective resolution—i.e., identifying safest approaches to work execution aligned with international safety standards. * Define and develop the prevention plan, as well as the resulting preventive planning, to promote prevention generally—and specifically within one’s area of specialization—throughout the company and its integration therein. * Conduct initial and periodic occupational risk assessments, as well as measurement strategy development and interpretation, ensuring that results accurately reflect the assessed situation and/or non-mechanical interpretation/application of evaluation criteria. * Propose measures for risk control and reduction based on assessment results, monitor implementation of the risk control and reduction program, and personally carry out assigned workplace condition monitoring activities. * Within one’s specialization, collaborate and participate in developing self-protection plans, emergency/firefighting response actions, first aid, facility safety analyses (e.g., Attestations, PHA), internal inspections, etc. * Deliver training on occupational risk prevention and on topics specific to one’s area of specialization. * Coordinate health surveillance and monitoring of workers with the contracted external Prevention Service, ensuring health surveillance is aligned with risks associated with each job position. * Support, coordinate, and assist site/plant prevention technicians and unit/department heads in fulfilling their obligations, as well as in interactions and visits by public administration representatives and official bodies. * Register products marketed by Covestro in Spain (INTCF) with public authorities. * Maintain the HSEQ management system and related documentation: risk & opportunity assessments, legislative tracking, etc. * Monitor all Industrial and Process Safety regulations. * Carry out and coordinate with authorized external entities inspections and inspection plans in Meridium, as well as manage the roles of internal inspector and practitioner. **Requirements (Education, Knowledge, and Experience)** * Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Environmental Sciences, Chemical Engineering, or equivalent. * Master’s degree in Occupational Risk Prevention covering all three specialties (mandatory). * English: minimum B2 level; German language skills are considered an advantage. * Knowledge of Process Safety in chemical plants. * Experience in industrial production processes. * Experience in quality control and laboratory analysis in chemical environments. * Familiarity with HSEQ regulations (ISO, OSHA, or equivalent). * Communication, influence, and cross-functional leadership capabilities. * Training delivery skills. **What We Offer?** ------------------- * **Indefinite-term contract**, with competitive annual gross compensation ranging from **€55\.000 – €60\.000**, depending on experience and expertise contributed, plus a **variable bonus linked to company performance**. * **Flexibility and work-life balance**, including flexible start times, a condensed workweek on Fridays, and during summer months. * **Hybrid work model**, offering the possibility of **2 days of remote work per week**, and **27 working days of vacation**. * **Comprehensive social benefits package**, including a pension plan, health insurance with special conditions, life insurance, meal allowance, and flexible compensation for childcare, transportation, and family health insurance. **YOUR APPLICATION** Are you as curious, courageous and colorful as we are?
