Senior Accountant

Description

We are seeking to hire a **Senior Accountant** with a solid professional background to assume full responsibility for the accounting management of several group companies. The selected candidate must be capable of performing duties with complete autonomy, ensuring accurate bookkeeping, compliance with tax obligations, and preparation of financial information. Key responsibilities: * Comprehensive accounting management for multiple companies. * Recording, reviewing, and supervising all accounting transactions. * Preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings. * Preparation and filing of tax returns (VAT, Corporate Income Tax, withholding taxes, and other tax obligations). * Bank reconciliations and account analysis. * Preparation of balance sheets, income statements, and financial reports. * Coordination with auditors, tax advisors, and official agencies. * Fixed asset control, provisions, depreciation, and accruals. * Accounting and financial analysis to support management decision-making. * Proposal and implementation of improvements in accounting and administrative processes. Mandatory requirements: * University degree in Business Administration and Management, Economics, Finance, or related field. * **Minimum 5 years of experience** in comprehensive accounting functions, preferably managing several companies simultaneously. * **In-depth knowledge of financial accounting, taxation, and Spanish commercial regulations.** * **Proven ability to work fully independently and autonomously**, organizing and prioritizing tasks without continuous supervision. * Proficiency in financial closing processes and tax return preparation. * Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting/ERP software (Sage, A3, SAP, Business Central, or similar). * High level of responsibility, rigor, confidentiality, and attention to detail. Preferred qualifications: * Experience within corporate groups or multi-company structures. * Knowledge of financial consolidation. * Postgraduate education in Accounting, Taxation, or Financial Management. * English language proficiency.
