**What will be your mission and main responsibilities?**
Ensure the company’s legal security and regulatory compliance by providing strategic advice and acting as the liaison between the organization and legal authorities, thereby protecting corporate interests and ensuring adherence to applicable local and international regulations.
**MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES**:
* Provide legal guidance to the Corporate Director and area leaders to support strategic decision-making.
* Analyze legal risks and propose solutions to protect the company’s interests.
* Participate in the planning of strategic projects—such as mergers, acquisitions, and alliances—from a legal perspective.
* Supervise the drafting, review, and negotiation of national and international contracts.
* Ensure contracts comply with current legal regulations and protect the company from legal and financial risks.
* Guarantee compliance with local, international, and sector-specific agricultural and industrial regulations.
* Coordinate legal audits and respond to requests from regulatory bodies and external auditors.
* Represent the company before judicial, administrative, and regulatory bodies.
* Coordinate litigation, arbitration, and legal disputes in collaboration with external law firms.
* Act as the liaison with external law firms to ensure effective representation.
* Protect the company’s intellectual property rights—including trademarks, patents, and other intangible assets.
* Supervise contracts related to technology, licensing, and strategic collaborations.
* Lead and coordinate the legal team, ensuring high standards of quality and compliance across all activities.
* Promote the professional and technical development of the team by providing training and tools to enhance performance.
* Establish and maintain relationships with regulatory bodies, business chambers, and industry associations.
* Monitor legislative and regulatory changes that may impact company operations.
* Prepare periodic legal reports for the Corporate Director, highlighting risks, opportunities, and the status of regulatory compliance.
* Collaborate with the finance department to assess the legal implications of budgetary and tax-related decisions.
* Support the Integrated Quality Management System of your department, collaborating with the Quality Department or any other department on all matters related to internal or external audits assumed and/or mandated as standards or requirements by Surexport Group.
* Support the company’s mission, vision, and values.
* Comply with and support Quality, Environmental, Occupational Health and Safety, and Corporate Social Responsibility Policies; the Corporate Compliance System; Information Security-related Policies and certifications; and the objectives set by the Organization within your scope of responsibility, ensuring adherence to all derived guidelines.
REQUIREMENTS
**What are the requirements for this position?**
* University degree in Law, preferably with specialization in Corporate, Commercial, and Company Law (corporate structures, governing bodies, and governance\-ESG).
* Mandatory Master’s Degree qualifying for the practice of law, and a Master’s in Corporate Law, International Law, Compliance, or related fields is highly desirable.
* Active bar association membership and up-to-date knowledge of local and international regulations.
* Minimum of 10 years’ prior professional experience as head of a Corporate Legal Department or at law firms, with international scope of responsibilities being essential.
* International contracting and intercompany agreements.
* Tangible assets and intellectual property.
* Experience in financial contracts, capital repatriation, etc.
* Experience in M\&A transactions (company formation, acquisitions, mergers).
* Basic experience in national and international taxation.
* Experience developing the legal function of a growing multinational group, both at the corporate level and for new businesses across different countries.
* Coordination of legal departments of subsidiaries, as well as of collaborating law firms in various countries.
* Agricultural sector experience is desirable.
* English proficiency at C1 level (spoken and written), with ability to manage international contracts and complex legal communications.
* Geographic mobility.
