Job Summary: We are seeking a kitchen assistant with an interest in gastronomy to collaborate within a team, assist in dish preparation, maintain order and hygiene, and manage ingredients. Initiative and the ability to learn new techniques are valued. We need a kitchen assistant with an interest in the culinary world to collaborate within a team. Main responsibilities will include assisting in the preparation of various dishes, ensuring quality and final presentation of each dish. You will also play an important role in organizing and maintaining order in the kitchen, ensuring cleanliness and safety while adhering to hygiene regulations. You will assist in ingredient management—from receipt to usage—with the aim of minimizing waste and maximizing resource efficiency. Daily tasks will range from ingredient preparation to supporting cooking, plating, and cleaning. Initiative and the ability to learn new techniques are valued. Hospitality training or prior experience will be helpful, but most importantly, you must be eager to learn and possess solid kitchen skills. The contract is temporary for 3 months, with possible extension, arranged through a temporary employment agency. Working hours are part-time, 25 hours per week, mornings from 9:00 to 14:00\. Salary will be based on the hospitality collective agreement. At least 1 year of prior experience as a kitchen assistant or in similar positions. Basic knowledge of culinary techniques and food preparation. Primary education qualification. Residence in Cambre or surrounding areas. Ability to work in a team and follow instructions.
