Position Summary: Tragsatec is seeking a Vessel Captain to participate in scientific monitoring activities, supervise the vessel, and carry out its maintenance. Key Responsibilities: 1. Manage vessel documentation and perform maintenance **Number of Positions Available** ---------------------- 1 **Company** ----------- Tragsatec **Project / Reason for Hiring** --------------------------------- Tecnologías y Servicios Agrarios, S.A., S.M.E., M.P., a subsidiary of the TRAGSA GROUP, specialized in engineering, consultancy, and technical assistance services in agriculture, livestock, forestry, and environmental matters, seeks to hire 1 Vessel Captain on the island of Gran Canaria. **Workplace Location** -------------------- * Las Palmas Address: Puerto Rico\-Mogán **Functions and Tasks** ---------------------- * Command and dispatch a vessel of at least 12 meters in length * Supervise inspections before the Maritime Captaincy and manage vessel documentation * Participate in scientific monitoring activities conducted onboard * Carry out vessel maneuvering and maintenance tasks **Specific Requirements** -------------------------- Compliance with the requirements and/or merits must be substantiated by completing evaluation tests and/or attaching the necessary documentation in the “Annexes” section of the registration questionnaire. The Tragsa Group reserves the right to request, at any stage of the process, documents certifying the information provided in the application, as well as to require additional information from the curriculum vitae whenever necessary to verify the stated requirements and/or merits detailed in this job posting. ### **Education** #### **Qualifications** * Hold one of the following qualifications: Higher Technician in Maritime Transport and Deep-Sea Fishing or Higher Technician in Navigation \- Fishing and Maritime Transport (qualification officially recognized in Spain or equivalence certificate issued by the General Secretariat of Universities) ### **Previous Experience** * At least 1 year performing professional duties as a Vessel Captain on vessels of at least 10 meters in length ### **Other Mandatory Requirements** * Valid ISM medical certificate for seafaring * Valid health training certificate * Valid fire prevention training certificate * Valid basic safety training certificate * Valid non-rapid rescue boat certificate * Availability to work variable shifts **Merit Criteria (Evaluated)** ------------------------ ### **Education** #### **Additional Training** * Training in vessel maintenance (certifiable via certificate or course completion) * Qualification in crane operation ### **Previous Experience** * From 1 to 7 years performing professional duties as a Vessel Captain on vessels of at least 10 meters in length (documentarily verifiable) **Observations** ----------------- * Offer includes: + Fixed-term substitution contract with an estimated duration of one month, depending on the triggering event + Full-time working hours.
