Job Summary: We are seeking a Speech Therapist to join a multidisciplinary team in an Early Intervention and Comprehensive Support Service, focused on promoting autonomy and quality of life for individuals with intellectual disabilities. AFANIAS Family Association was founded in 1964 and works daily to become a leading organization in the field of intellectual disability, with social presence and influence, facilitating autonomy and quality of life for individuals with intellectual disabilities and their families, while responding to their life-cycle needs. In this context, the position of Speech Therapist is open for the AFANIAS EARLY INTERVENTION AND COMPREHENSIVE SUPPORT SERVICE. Job Mission: The Speech Therapist will be part of a multidisciplinary team, supporting the center’s Speech Therapist both at the center and in natural environments. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES  Assessment and intervention in learning, speech, language, feeding, and communication disorders.  Development of treatment plans, as well as monitoring and reporting.  Individual and group therapy sessions.  Development of specific communication materials.  Implementation of AAC systems (Augmentative and Alternative Communication).  Coordination with tutors and other professionals for intervention follow-up.  Coordination and follow-up with families.  Required qualification: Diploma/Bachelor’s Degree in Primary Education specializing in Hearing and Language, or Bachelor’s Degree in Speech Therapy.  Minimum 1 year of experience in intervention for learning difficulties, intellectual disability, and AAC systems.  Positive and constructive attitude.  Strong work capacity, demonstrating proactivity and autonomy.  Social sensitivity and interest in social causes, especially disability. ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS WILL BE VALUED: Specialization in Therapeutic Pedagogy Experience working with adults with intellectual disabilities Experience in assessment using standardized tests Experience in intervention and evaluation with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Myofunctional therapy Atypical swallowing. Required qualification: Diploma/Bachelor’s Degree in Speech Therapy. Proficiency in tools based on pictogram use. Alternative and augmentative communication systems, sign language, communication aids, pictograms, etc. Knowledge of instructional programming, adaptation of materials and content, and assessment We seek a professional for incorporation under a part-time contract (50% workload).
