Join us in pursuing solutions for a sustainable future.** ACCIONA, through its Water business, requires an Operations Technician for its IDAM Oropesa contract in Castellón. **Job Description** Key responsibilities include: Reporting directly to the Plant Manager and Operational Assistants, the candidate will perform the following duties and assume the following responsibilities: * Comply with the facility’s hygiene and sanitation regulations, as well as occupational health and safety policies. * Apply all necessary safety standards for assigned tasks and ensure mandatory use of required personal protective equipment (PPE). * Perform operational maneuvers via SCADA (startup, adjustments, and shutdowns of production or process equipment and units). * Understand and control SCADA system (supervisory control and data acquisition) operation. * Carry out field-based operational maneuvers on equipment or process units. * Perform any other operational tasks assigned. * Record, complete, and interpret O\&M data logs, and complete and report daily work reports. * Collect samples for analysis and parametric measurements in the field or laboratory, as assigned. * Understand the water treatment process and respond appropriately to deviations from normal operations. * Monitor overall plant operation and supervise plant functionality. * Assist maintenance personnel when required. * Supervise operational and/or maintenance tasks performed by operational assistants. * Perform minor repairs. * Carry out facility cleaning tasks. * Perform any other tasks as required. As a general guideline, time allocation for the above tasks is estimated as follows: 40% **SCADA-based control and operational maneuvers**, 20% field-based operational tasks, 30% sampling, monitoring of operating parameters, water analysis, and recording of results and totals (as listed in point 2 above), and 10% conservation and/or maintenance tasks. **Candidate Requirements** No prior experience required. Education: Higher Vocational Training Degree in Laboratory Technology. Shift work and collective bargaining agreement conditions apply. Ability to work effectively in a team. Capacity to organize work efficiently. Experience in the water treatment sector (desalination and wastewater treatment).
