We are seeking a **Network Security Engineer** to join the **United Nations International Computing Centre (UNICC)**, the United Nations' technology and cybersecurity services center. You will be part of the **global Cybersecurity and Networks team**, composed of professionals from various parts of the world, responsible for ensuring the security of shared network infrastructure and the technological environments of the organization's clients. Your mission will be to **design, implement, and maintain secure enterprise networks**, following industry best practices and international cybersecurity standards, working closely with technical, business, and information security teams. The position is based in **Valencia (Spain)** and offers flexibility to work remotely up to **4 days per week**. Essential: * Design, implement, and maintain secure, high-performance network solutions. * Ensure availability, integrity, and security of the organization's enterprise networks. * Administer and resolve incidents on routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, and load balancers (Checkpoint, Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto, F5, NetScaler, etc.). * Monitor and enhance security in **LAN, WAN, Data Center, and Cloud (Azure, AWS, GCP)** environments. * Apply standards and frameworks such as **ISO 27001, SOC2, NIST, SWIFT, PCI\-DSS**. * Conduct technical assessments of networks, systems, and services to identify vulnerabilities. * Automate tasks and processes using **scripting or automation tools**. * Collaborate with other technical and security teams to ensure compliance with internal policies and regulations. * Participate in rotational **on\-call** shifts (one week per month). Desirable: * Minimum **5 years of experience** in networking and cybersecurity. * Solid knowledge of **risk management and security standards** (ISO27001, NIST, SOC2, PCI\-DSS). * Extensive expertise in **network protocols** (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS) and **SDN / SD\-WAN** technologies. * Experience administering **firewalls, load balancers, and VPN solutions** (Checkpoint, Cisco, Fortigate, Palo Alto, F5, NetScaler). * Experience in **network virtualization** (VMware, OpenStack). * Knowledge in **monitoring and optimizing network infrastructures**. * Experience in **automation through scripting** (Python, Bash, PowerShell, etc.). * Analytical ability to assess threats, impacts, and risks. * Advanced level of **English (oral and written)**.
