Technical support and documentation drafting Through our engineering division P&D (ATS Global), we are managing the selection process for an industrial automation engineer for one of our clients headquartered in Badalona. Job Mission: PLC/HMI programming and commissioning for automated facilities. Main Objectives: Successfully complete, within agreed timeframes and to required quality standards, all assigned automation projects within the scope of responsibilities. Responsibilities: * Analyze customer requirements * List requirements and ensure their compliance in the software project * Break down the software project into individual tasks * Plan task completion dates and track progress * Present status/progress reports on tasks to the department manager * Inform department and project managers of potential schedule deviations sufficiently in advance to implement corrective actions * Identify customer requests that may constitute additional costs and assess their impact on the project * PLC and HMI programming * Draft user, operation, and training manuals * Prepare technical documentation associated with the project * On-site commissioning at the customer’s premises * On-site technical support and/or telephone support, if contracted by the customer/project * Industrial automation in the automotive sector: o Robotic sheet metal lines (welding/handling) o Robotic painting lines (underbody sealing, interior sealing, soundproofing, anti-corrosion, paint quality control, …) * Education: Degree in Industrial Electronic Engineering and Automation, Electronics, Telecommunications or Higher Vocational Training in Industrial Automation and Robotics, Electronics, Telecommunications * Strong PLC programming skills: SIEMENS Step 7, SIEMENS TIA Portal, SIEMENS Safety * Strong HMI programming skills: SIEMENS WinCC and Wonderware InTouch * Willingness to travel for on-site commissioning, primarily across Europe (approximately 60% of time) * Languages: Spoken and written English. Spoken and written German (highly valued) * Valid driver’s license and personal vehicle * Permanent contract with the client’s workforce * Health insurance at special rates for candidate and immediate family * Working hours: Monday–Thursday 8:30–13:00, 14:00–18:00; Friday 8:30–14:00 * Flexibility to cover 8 daily working hours, starting as early as 7:30. Remote work option adapted to project needs (documentary and offline phases) * Work schedule dependent on commissioning activities, may include weekends or public holidays.
