General Responsibilities: 1\. Proactively identify and communicate suggestions, non-conformities, risks, etc., detected in the work area. Maintain the work environment, equipment, and materials in excellent condition to ensure proper execution of processes. Comply with applicable work procedures and instructions—including occupational safety and health regulations. Complete all required documentation in the course of work. 2\. Ensure the best possible patient experience by offering humane, close, and personalized treatment. 3\. Foster effective interdepartmental working relationships and collaborate efficiently as part of a team to support achievement of departmental goals and objectives. 4\. Participate in onboarding and training of newly hired staff and trainees assigned to the unit. 5\. Use machines, devices, tools, hazardous substances, transport equipment, and any other resources involved in job activities appropriately, considering their nature and foreseeable risks. 6\. Correctly use personal protective equipment provided by the company, following the instructions received. 7\. Neither disable nor misuse existing or newly installed safety devices related to job activities or located in workplaces. 8\. Immediately report to the supervisor—and to designated personnel responsible for protection and prevention activities, or, where applicable, to the Prevention Service—any situation reasonably perceived as posing a risk to workers’ safety and health. 9\. Actively comply with established regulations across all domains, including occupational safety and health, environmental protection, energy efficiency, data protection, etc. 10\. Attend mandatory occupational risk prevention training courses as stipulated by current legislation, as well as medical examinations where required for the position. 11\. Adhere to organizational protocols and procedures, ensuring alignment with internal regulations and quality, safety, and efficiency standards. Collaborate in the correct implementation of Quirónsalud’s management model covering quality, environment, energy efficiency, patient safety, infection prevention, and all other requirements included therein. This responsibility entails continual awareness, respect for, and application of operational guidelines, as well as active participation in continuous improvement initiatives. 12\. Maintain strict confidentiality when handling sensitive information and comply fully with the Data Protection Act and the center’s security procedures and cybersecurity regulations. 13\. Act consistently with corporate principles and values, supporting the organization’s positive image (both internally and externally) through high-quality service delivery. Specific Job Responsibilities: 1\. Respond to surgeons’ and anesthesiologists’ requests during surgical procedures. 2\. Collaborate with the surgical team on all tasks within your scope of competence. 3\. Inform attending physicians of any patient alterations and notify the unit supervisor of all observed malfunctions or incidents, completing appropriate documentation as required. 4\. Collect the completed controlled-substance record sheet signed by the anesthesiologist. 5\. Accurately register operating room expenses in the software system—including material and medication consumption, equipment usage, and any other cost-generating activity attributable to the patient. 6\. Perform high-level disinfection/sterilization of the laryngoscope blade after intubation and upon completion of surgery. 7\. Monitor and manage stock levels of materials and medications in your unit, accounting for anticipated needs across all shifts, jointly with assigned staff; collect and reuse sterile instruments not utilized during procedures. 8\. Anticipate all surgical requirements. Critically verify availability of specialty-specific instruments and implants, if applicable. 9\. Prepare the exhaled gas filter connected to the capnograph inside its packaging, anesthesia suction device with tubing and probe, and verify correct functionality. 10\. Check defibrillators’ operational status—if applicable—and immediately report failures to supervisors and replace malfunctioning units with functional ones from the shift inventory. 11\. Prepare necessary materials for each surgical procedure and assist medical staff during interventions according to specialty-specific surgical-medical protocols. 12\. Collect instruments and materials upon completion of the surgical procedure. 13\. Report any incidents occurring during surgery to the unit supervisor. 14\. Conduct counts of all materials introduced into the patient. 15\. If bone bank or grafts are used, verify necessity, confirm optimal storage conditions prior to use, perform required pre-use processing, and ensure appropriate custody and registration of biological samples—including documentation of extraction timing and preservation methods. 16\.
