Job Summary: We are seeking an Accountant to join the finance department of a leading transportation company, managing the accounting for multiple companies and actively participating in day-to-day business operations. A stable project offering learning opportunities and exposure to multiple companies **Citesa**, a leading company in hazardous goods transportation, is looking to hire an **Accountant** for our offices in Barcelona (Zona Franca). You will join the finance department within a multi-company environment (6 companies), working closely with the Administration Manager and the accounting team. This is a hands-on position involving substantial workload, strict deadlines, and decision-making responsibilities, providing you with comprehensive visibility into the accounting function and active participation in daily business operations. **Requirements:** * Degree in Business Administration and Management (ADE), Economics, or related field. * Minimum 2–4 years’ experience in accounting. * Experience in multi-company environments or managing several companies/clients (accounting firms, consulting firms, auditing firms, or corporate groups). * Solid knowledge of the full accounting cycle and the Spanish General Accounting Plan (PGC). * Tax knowledge: VAT (Form 303\) and Personal Income Tax (IRPF) (Forms 111, 115, 123\). * Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, etc.). **Your responsibilities will include:** Managing the accounting for several group companies (multi-company environment). Monitoring treasury positions and performing bank reconciliations, ensuring accurate matching between transactions and accounting entries. Importing and processing bank files (Norma 43\), verifying correct accounting classification. Recording, reviewing, and validating accounting entries (provisions, accruals, amortizations, etc.). Actively participating in monthly financial closings, ensuring all information is accurately recorded on time. Supporting the Procurement Department to ensure invoices are correctly entered and accounted for before key deadlines. Reviewing and validating data required for tax filings (VAT, IRPF), with support from external advisors if needed. Monitoring and submitting SII (Immediate Supply of Information) filings, ensuring compliance with tax deadlines. Participating in the group’s analytical accounting, collaborating on cost allocation and analysis.
