DESCRIPTION This is one of those rare career opportunities—not just anyone can seize it. If you are top-tier talent with a practical, analytical, and people-oriented mindset; if you’re eager to work hard (with balance and flexibility) and learn extensively, this opportunity may be for you. If you seek growth (and are willing to put in the effort that growth demands) and care about social impact, this opportunity may be for you. **Who are we?** Qida is a social-impact scale-up founded in Barcelona in 2018, with the vision of becoming Europe’s leading provider of home-based care services for older adults. Our goal is to enable older adults to remain in their homes longer, through caregiver services, insurance, and technology. We aim to make social and healthcare systems more sustainable through our work. Seven years after our founding, we have scaled our business to €75M in GMV, employ over 200 office-based staff and more than 5,500 active caregivers, achieved profitability, and secured exclusive partnerships with Spain’s largest private hospital group (QuirónSalud) and one of the country’s largest banks and life insurers. We are a certified B Corp and backed by Spain’s three largest social-impact funds, alongside Kibo Ventures—a leading venture capital fund in Southern Europe. **Scope of the Role:** The role to be filled is **Head of ALS**, working closely with the COO and CCO of the private business unit to build a specialized unit within the private home-care division, focused on improving the quality of life of ALS patients at home. **Key Responsibilities:** * Lead the ideation and execution of initiatives to continuously improve Qida’s specialized home-care model for ALS. * Collaborate closely with local patient associations to refine and adapt our specialized care model, ensuring high-quality care delivery. * Scale and adapt our training center: train both our caregivers (“building a talent pool”) and Qida’s internal team. * Position Qida as the market leader in ALS care in Spain, in collaboration with the Marketing team. * Generate evidence and impact: partner with leading sector stakeholders to demonstrate how our care model improves the quality of life of ALS patients at home. * Identify additional services, partnerships, or support mechanisms that significantly enhance patients’ quality of life. * Explore new specialized care opportunities beyond ALS to further grow the unit. * Leadership and team management: develop and manage a high-performance team—recruiting, training, and developing talent. REQUIREMENTS * A good person—humble, eager to grow and learn. * A highly well-rounded profile: conceptual, analytical, with proven team management capabilities and strong interpersonal skills. * Extremely hands-on. This is not a role for “supervising,” “managing,” or “only thinking.” It is a role for “thinking and doing.” The candidate will work side-by-side (without hierarchical team leadership) with senior and mid-level management on key strategic company projects. * Fast learning ability and eagerness to grow rapidly within a dynamic (yet flexible and predictable) environment. * Fluency in Spanish (although senior leadership speaks English, not all staff do—and many projects require direct collaboration with technical experts across departments). * Residency in Barcelona. Work is remote 3–4 days/week, but office attendance is required 1–2 days/week. Preference is for the Barcelona office (Sabadell, 30 minutes from Barcelona), though Madrid-based candidates are also considered. * Experience in the healthcare sector is a strong plus. **Five Reasons to Join Qida:** **For the impact:** Qida is Spain’s leading social-impact home-care company and the fastest-growing social-impact company in the country to date. **For the challenge:** Leading one or several of the company’s top 10 most important projects is critical to the success of our mission. **For the culture:** Qida is different. We don’t choose between social and economic impact. We’re on a social-impact mission to change the world. Culture is the foundation of everything at Qida—why we exist and how we operate daily. **For learning:** Join a high-growth environment, working directly with an exceptional executive team—and, above all, with great people. **For continued growth:** You won’t only learn extensively—you’ll also encounter new, challenging roles as Qida grows. **Are you interested?** Apply to this opportunity and help us change the world! At Qida, we are committed to diversity and building a team that truly reflects our company values. That’s why all our decisions are based on individuals’ skills and capabilities. We value your passion for exploring, reinventing, and creating.
