At **Giesecke\+Devrient** **(G\+D)** Iberia, we are seeking a **Quality Engineer \- Temporary Contract for Maternity Leave Coverage** to join the Customers, Processes and Products area within the Quality and Environment Department at our El Prat de Llobregat plant. You will play a key role in ensuring that operational processes related to card (banking and SIM) manufacturing comply with the company's defined quality system, general and customer-specific standards, and internal efficiency and scrap targets. Key responsibilities include: **Quality Management with Customers** * Manage customer complaints, perform root cause analysis, and prepare 8D reports. * Support customer audits and manage technical communication related to quality. * Ensure compliance with general and customer-specific standards. **Product and Supplier Quality Management** * Manage supplier material complaints and coordinate corrective actions. * Evaluate, monitor, and audit suppliers. * Verify that used products meet defined quality standards. **Continuous Improvement** * Lead FMEAs, Task Forces, and improvement teams. * Coordinate implementation of corrective and preventive actions. * Manage internal and inter-company non-conformities, ensuring their effective closure. **Processes and Audits** * Define control plans and train personnel to ensure proper application. * Create and update procedures related to internal processes. * Conduct internal and cross-company audits for Quality, Environment, and Occupational Health and Safety. **Data Analysis \& Reporting** * Analyze process data using statistical methods. * Propose actions to improve quality and reduce rejection rates. **Change Management** * Support the introduction of new machines, technologies, and products from a quality perspective. **What We’re Looking For** -------------------------- * Industrial Engineering or equivalent degree, with over 2 years’ experience in industrial/production environments within the Quality area. * Electronics specialization is desirable; mechanical, chemical, or other profiles may also be considered. * Demonstrable knowledge of quality tools (FMEA, 8D, Ishikawa, SPC). * Fluent spoken and written English and Spanish. * SAP experience is desirable. * Technical Competencies: Analytical and problem-solving skills, data orientation and use of metrics (KPIs), end-to-end process vision. * Soft Skills: Clear and assertive communication (frequent interaction with production, customers, and suppliers), ability to work under pressure, cross-functional leadership (without hierarchical authority), time management and organization, continuous improvement mindset, and teamwork. **What’s great about working with us?** --------------------------------------- **Culture \& Philosophy:** A professional, collaborative, and dynamic environment where ideas and active participation are essential to how we work. **Schedule:** Mon–Thu 8:30–17:45, Fri 8:30–15:30, with one hour of flexible start/end time.
