Position details Working hours: 12 hours per week Contract type: Permanent Start date: 24th August Key responsibilities + Plan and deliver engaging, age\-appropriate music lessons across Primary, aligned with the IB framework. + Foster students\\' practical musicianship, including singing, instrumental performance, composition and listening skills. + Prepare and lead students in school performances, concerts and cultural events. + Encourage creativity, collaboration and self\-expression through music. + Adapt teaching approaches to accommodate a range of abilities and learning needs. + Maintain musical instruments and resources, and ensure a safe and organised music room environment. + Collaborate with colleagues on interdisciplinary units and school\-wide events. + Communicate effectively with parents and carers regarding student progress. **Requirements** -------------- * **Requirements:** Requirements + A relevant teaching qualification in Music Education (or equivalent), and/or a strong background as a practising musician. + Proficiency in at least one instrument. + Previous experience teaching music to children and/or young people, ideally in an international or bilingual setting. + Good level of English (spoken and written). + Enthusiasm, creativity and a genuine passion for making music accessible and enjoyable for all students. Desirable + Active experience as a performing musician (band, orchestra, choir, or similar). + Ability to read and arrange music for mixed\-ability student groups.
