





**Job Posting: Shadow Teacher – Academic Support in Secondary Education** **Location:** School in Alcobendas (Madrid) **Schedule:** Monday to Friday, 9:00–17:00 **Start Date:** January **Type of Collaboration:** Self-employed professional (mandatory) **Position Description** We are seeking a **shadow teacher** to provide individualized academic support to a student in **2nd year of Compulsory Secondary Education (ESO)** throughout her full school day at a school in Alcobendas. The goal of this position is to foster her academic and social inclusion within the classroom, promoting her autonomy, academic motivation, and positive relationships with peers. **Duties and Responsibilities** * Accompany the student during class hours, facilitating her active participation in classroom activities. * Implement **academic adaptations** to teaching materials and assignments, in coordination with teaching staff. * Support organization, planning, and monitoring of academic work. * Design and apply **study techniques** tailored to her specific needs. * Foster **motivation for learning** and a positive attitude toward school. * Provide **social support**, facilitating appropriate interactions with peers and promoting social skills. * Gradually enhance personal and academic autonomy. * Coordinate with the family, the educational center, and other involved professionals. * Maintain records documenting progress and development. **Requirements** * Qualification in the educational field: Primary Education Teaching Degree, Pedagogy, Psychopedagogy, Social Education, or equivalent. * Experience or training in individualized educational support and/or support for students with specific educational needs. * Knowledge of curricular adaptation strategies and inclusive methodologies. * Strong communication skills, empathy, patience, and ability to work collaboratively. * **Mandatory registration as a self-employed professional or willingness to register as such.** **Preferred Qualifications** * Prior experience as a shadow teacher, especially in secondary education. * Training in learning difficulties, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), ADHD, or other specific educational needs. * Knowledge of study techniques, motivation strategies, and emotional support. * Initiative and creativity in adapting teaching materials. **We Offer** * Full-time schedule Monday to Friday (9:00–17:00). * Stable professional collaboration throughout the academic year. * An inclusive educational environment and coordinated work with the teaching team. * Ongoing professional guidance and support.
