Together, we will create a truly transformative learning experience. **PURPOSE OF THE ROLE** Ensure students achieve outstanding progress in their learning by: * Delivering inspiring and effective teaching in the relevant curriculum areas. * Creating and leveraging opportunities to enhance student wellbeing and foster a positive attitude towards learning. * Building trusting and honest relationships with families through effective and timely communication. * Creating inspiring and safe learning environments that encourage innovation, risk-taking, and celebrate equality, diversity, and inclusion. * Supporting colleagues within teams, across the school, and in the various communities we serve. * Committing to ongoing professional development to improve teaching practice and increase impact on learning. * Playing an active and positive role in promoting a school culture grounded in excellence, respect, and service. **TEACHING** * Planning effective lessons aligned with departmental Unit Planners. * Delivering lessons in accordance with the school’s Teaching and Learning Charter and assessing student progress to provide appropriate support and challenge. * Providing verbal and written feedback in line with the school’s assessment policy. * Maintaining adequate records of student progress and achievement on official platforms. * Participating in curriculum-related trips and co-curricular activities, including the **NAE Global Campus**. * Preparing students for external examinations and determining predicted grades. * Advising students on elective subject choices. * Participating in Academic Board meetings to support individual students. **PASTORAL CARE AND SUPPORT** * Keeping regular attendance records. * Coordinating with relevant teams to ensure support for students who need it. * Undertaking supervision duties during break and lunchtimes. * Reporting any concerns related to child protection. * Mentoring older students where appropriate. * Enforcing the Student Code of Conduct. **FAMILIES** * Completing regular reports and attending parent-teacher conferences. * Maintaining records of student progress. * Proactively and informally communicating with families. * Promoting school and staff achievements through various channels. * Supporting the Admissions Department during Open Days. **WORK ENVIRONMENT** * Promoting a positive attitude towards learning and managing the classroom effectively. * Organising the classroom to support learning and celebrating student achievements. * Promptly reporting health and safety or IT-related incidents. * Ensuring fairness, celebrating diversity, and fostering inclusion. **TEAMWORK** * Supporting colleagues and the wider school community. * Assisting Heads of Department and Year Leaders with development plans. * Contributing to curriculum development and resource sharing. **PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT** * Using feedback and data to improve teaching practice. * Staying up-to-date with subject content and curriculum changes. **CANDIDATE PROFILEQualifications / Education** * Degree in Catalan Philology or a related field. **Experience / Knowledge** * Experience teaching ESO and/or Baccalaureate levels. * Native-level proficiency in Catalan. * Spanish and/or English: desirable. * Passion and deep subject knowledge in the relevant discipline.
