Provide technical support for storage and backup users Full Time \| Valencia, Spain / Brindisi, Italy / Nearshore (CET \+/\- 2 hours) If you like this offer, please send your CV mentioning the job title to: corporate.sales@united\-its.com Location: Valencia, Spain / Brindisi, Italy / Nearshore (CET \+/\- 2 hours) Teleworking option: **Yes** #### **Required Technical Skills** **Scope of Work/Duties:** * Administer the Storage and Backup Infrastructures’ Systems of the organisation. * Provide technical support for the ICC storage and backup infrastructures’ users (Connectivity, performance, troubleshooting, storage, backups, etc.) * Manage the backup clients, schedules and retentions. * Monitor and evaluate the performance of storage and backup services. * Coordinate the replacement of failed Backup, Storage \& SAN components, and service restoration. * Create and maintain detailed technical and graphical documentation as needed. * Develop/update tools and scripts to improve and automate the administration of the Storage and Enterprise Backup operations. * Lead complex projects involving storage solutions and products for mid\-large environments. * Provide on\-call rotation\-based support outside of business hours. * Perform other duties as required. The resource **MUST** have the following skills and experience: **Enterprise Storage Platforms** * Demonstrable administration and troubleshooting experience with multi\-vendor enterprise storage arrays, with emphasis on: * NetApp ONTAP environments (FAS, vNAS/file/object services, SolidFire) * Dell PowerStore or equivalent block storage platforms * CEPH * Experience performing provisioning, performance troubleshooting, lifecycle maintenance, and incident resolution in production environments. **SAN \& Storage Transport Technologies** * Strong working knowledge of storage networking concepts and technologies. * Hands\-on administration of Cisco MDS Fiber Channel fabrics. * Ability to troubleshoot end\-to\-end connectivity issues between hosts and storage. **Replication \& Host Integration** * Solid technical understanding of: * Storage replication and data protection technologies * Host integration and best practices * OS\-specific storage tuning and performance considerations **Backup \& Data Protection Platforms** • Extensive experience installing, configuring, and administering enterprise backup platforms, including Dell EMC Avamar and Dell EMC • Data Domain and Veeam backup and replication. * Experience managing policies, retention, client onboarding, and recovery workflows * Working familiarity with disk\-based and tape\-based backup architectures **Networking Fundamentals** * Practical understanding of enterprise networking fundamentals relevant to storage operations, including Ethernet switching concepts, TCP/IP stack behavior, Routing basics and Link aggregation (LACP) The resource **SHOULD** have the following skills and experience: * Hands\-on experience developing scripts or automation workflows using PowerShell, Python, Bash, Ansible or similar automation frameworks. * Experience with Microsoft 365 backup solutions such as AvePoint and Spanning. * Exposure to Software Defined Storage (SDS) platforms. * Working knowledge of Linux administration and Microsoft Windows Server environments. * Familiarity with virtualization platforms such as VMware. **Soft skills:** * Customer facing experience and oral communication skills * Ability to write documentation \& reports * Creativity/ ability to find innovative solutions * Willingness to learn on the job * Conflict management \& cooperation **Desirable certifications:** * EMC Avamar, Data Domain or ECS * DELL/EMC, Netapp storage systems * CISCO MDS switches * ITIL **Teleworking Option:** * Yes, up to 3 days per week for resources on\-site in Valencia, Spain or Brindisi, Italy **On\-call requirements:** * Required
