Delivery of technical courses and seminars **Job Description** Fanox, part of Wabtec Corporation, is headquartered in Derio (Bizkaia) and designs and manufactures electronic protection and control relays for Medium Voltage and Low Voltage applications. As a Protection Engineer, you will join the Applications team, collaborating closely with the team lead and colleagues to ensure Fanox-designed equipment is properly validated and operates optimally, meeting market needs. **How Will You Make a Difference?** You will contribute to ensuring product quality and reliability by performing technical equipment validation and providing specialized support, guaranteeing that protection solutions comply with standards and customer expectations. **What Will Your Day-to-Day Look Like?** * Equipment validation through functional testing, fault analysis, and equipment operation. * Participation in type-approval processes. * Delivery of technical courses and seminars at national and international levels. * Review of customer technical specifications. * Internal and external technical support. * Development and updating of technical documentation. **What Do We Want to Know About You?** **Education and Technical Background** * Industrial Engineering degree or Master’s in Industrial Engineering (Electrical or Automation specialization), preferred. **Professional Experience** * Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical protection. **Technical Knowledge** * Power network topology. * Electrical calculations. * Communication protocols used in electrical substations: + Serial communication: Modbus RTU, DNP3\.0 Serial, IEC103 + Ethernet and TCP/IP communication: Modbus TCP/IP, DNP3\.0 TCP/IP + Remote control protocols: IEC101, IEC104 + IEC61850 standard **Key Competencies** * Decision-making and problem-solving. * Strong ability to learn quickly. * Oral and written communication skills. **Languages** * Spanish: fluent * English: advanced (spoken and written) **What Do We Offer?** * Flexible working hours * Compressed workweek on Fridays and during summer * Work-life balance initiatives *Legal authorization to work in EU is required.
