System Engineer**Job Objective** Design, implement, maintain, and optimize the technological infrastructure and IT systems supporting the operation of the Urban Traffic Control Center, ensuring system availability, security, and efficiency for traffic management, monitoring, and communication. **Responsibilities** * Administer and maintain system infrastructure: servers, networks, storage, and virtualization. * Manage traffic control platforms (access control systems, ITS, traffic signal management platforms, and video surveillance systems). * Monitor system performance in real time and resolve critical incidents. * Integrate new devices and technologies (IoT, sensors, cameras, V2X systems). * Coordinate with traffic engineers, operators, and technology vendors. * Manage databases and large\-scale data storage systems (traffic Big Data). * Administer and maintain virtualized environments (VMware). * Define and implement backup, disaster recovery, and service continuity policies. * Automate system administration processes and tasks. * Participate in modernization and smart city projects. * Prepare technical documentation and operational procedures. **Requirements** * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, or equivalent. * Minimum 2\-3 years of experience in system administration or mission\-critical environments. * Knowledge of systems and networks: + Linux and Windows Server administration + Virtualization (VMware, Hyper\-V) + TCP/IP networking, VLANs, routing, switching, and perimeter security * Knowledge of data and software: + SQL and NoSQL databases + Scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell) * High proficiency in Spanish; English is a plus. **Key Competencies** * Analytical thinking and real\-time problem solving. * Ability to work under pressure (24/7 mission\-critical environments). * Teamwork in multidisciplinary settings. * Proactivity and autonomy. * Focus on continuous improvement. * Technical communication skills. **Preferred Qualifications** * Master’s degree in systems, networks, cybersecurity, or smart cities. * Experience in cloud environments (Azure, AWS). * Cybersecurity knowledge (firewalls, IDS/IPS, security in critical environments such as transportation infrastructure). * Familiarity with GIS tools. * Experience with video surveillance platforms (CCTV). * Experience with ITS (Intelligent Transportation Systems). * SCADA and industrial control systems. **Our Offer** * Permanent contract * Competitive salary package * Work model: 100% on\-site * Flexible compensation plan * Working hours: 7:00–15:00 (with availability required outside working hours in case of incidents/emergencies)
