**Job Description** **Who will you work with?** Wabtec is a leading global provider of equipment, systems, digital solutions, and value-added services for the freight and transit rail sectors. You will work in the Procurement Department, coordinating the team and ensuring compliance with procurement processes and strategies. **How will you make a difference?** As a **Purchasing Coordinator/Project Buyer**, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient, competitive, and sustainable supply of materials, products, and services required for industrial operations, facility operations, and the company’s overall business. You will lead negotiations with suppliers, optimizing costs without compromising quality, ensuring on-time delivery, and fostering long-term collaborative relationships with strategic partners. You will be responsible for coordinating and supervising the procurement team, ensuring achievement of the department’s operational and strategic objectives. **What will your day-to-day look like?** * Coordination of the Procurement team * Collaborate with the Regional Commodities team on purchasing needs for assigned projects. * Responsible for cost forecasting during the bidding and contracting phase, ensuring competitiveness and commitment to performance. * Negotiate and contract with suppliers, ensuring and monitoring performance. * Consolidate and evaluate the R\&O savings portfolio for regional projects. * Validate supplier selections made by project buyers. * Arbitrate purchasing decisions to improve contractual margin: R\&O oversight, resource reallocation across projects. * Participate in audits (ISO audits, certifications). * Contribute to budgeting, KPI monitoring, and monthly reporting. **What are we looking for in you?** * Diploma * +5 years of experience in Procurement roles within a multinational company * Experience in team coordination * Professional English and Spanish * Experience with ERP and MS Office * Strong negotiation skills * Analytical and decision-making abilities * Leadership and people management skills *Legal authorization to work in EU is required.
