Description:
The Director of the Residential Centre for Educational Action assumes the specific functions deriving from the level of responsibility and competence defined in the Internal Regulations (RRI). The Director is responsible for the Centre’s operation and for the care and education of the children and adolescents accommodated there. Their duties must ensure this level of responsibility.
Functions and responsibilities related to the organization and operation of the service:
- Represent the Centre and the educational team externally.
- Ensure the development, implementation, and evaluation of the Educational Project (PEC) and the Internal Regulations (RRI).
- Ensure the annual programming and evaluation of educational action, as well as the functional and structural organization of the residence.
- Ensure compliance with the duties assumed by the educational team.
- Plan and organize the various coordination spaces for the educational team, as well as coordinate with its members.
- Represent the Centre and the educational team before DGPPIA and other resources.
- Coordinate with the various DGPPIA managers and with the IRES Manager to report on and explain the implementation of the PEC and RRI.
- Ensure preparation and submission of documentation required by DGPPIA.
- Inform the educational team about decisions made by DGPPIA regarding the Centre’s operation.
- Manage admissions and discharges at the Centre.
- Select, organize, and contribute to the continuous training of the educational and support staff.
- Control, organize, distribute, and optimize the budget assigned to the Centre.
- Supervise shift coordination among staff.
- Plan and organize the various coordination spaces for the educational team, as well as coordinate with its members.
- Provide input and facilitate ongoing compliance, review, and improvement of the PEC and RRI.
- Monitor quality control at the Centre.
- Monitor, manage, and ensure proper archiving of all incoming and outgoing Centre documentation.
- Monitor, support, and supervise the work of the Centre’s support staff.
- Control cash funds held by the Centre.
- Monitor and control exit permits granted to children or adolescents accommodated at the Centre.
- Be responsible for internal team training.
- Keep the Sínia database updated.
- Promote the Annual Operational Project, lead the annual evaluation, and supervise all Individualized Educational Plans (PEI) and Individualized Technical Support Plans (ITSE).
Functions related to children and adolescents:
- Assume legal guardianship over the children/adolescents.
- Ensure care and education for all children and adolescents accommodated at the Centre and safeguard the exercise of their rights and duties.
- Legally represent the children and adolescents of the Centre as guardian.
- Assume all tasks arising from the role of legal guardian.
- Prepare and submit official documentation for the children or adolescents.
- Coordinate with EAIA (Educational and Social Intervention Teams) in cases of particular difficulty.
- Report, where appropriate, any improper behaviour by children/adolescents (e.g., aggression, property damage, absconding, etc.)
* Minimum 2 years’ experience. Experience in CRAEs is desirable. Experience in child protection networks. Teamwork experience. Experience working with children and youth at social risk. Experience in coordination, team management, and project management (2 years).

- Working week: 38 hours, distributed Monday to Friday
- Salary: €2,890 gross per month x 14 payments.
