Description
Job Summary:
We are seeking personnel to develop low-voltage electrical engineering for water sector projects, with responsibilities including design, execution monitoring, and technical coordination.
Key Highlights:
1. Participation in innovative and highly interesting projects.
2. Integration into highly qualified teams with growth opportunities.
3. Working in a professional, flexible, and dynamic environment.
**Description:**
At ELMASA Water Technology — a leading company in technological solutions for water management and treatment — we are implementing an ambitious strategic growth plan. We seek personnel to develop low-voltage electrical engineering for projects primarily in the water sector, with a strong industrial component, covering all phases from conceptual and detailed design through field execution monitoring, ensuring compliance with ELMASA’s technical, regulatory, and quality requirements. This position encompasses engineering duties, execution support, and technical coordination.
**Responsibilities:**
* Detailed Electrical Engineering
Preparation of power and control electrical schematics, single-line and multi-line diagrams, and electrical layout drawings. Design of motor control centers (MCCs), control panels (CPs), and low-voltage electrical architecture.
* Electrical Calculations and Sizing
Conductor cross-section calculation, voltage drop analysis, and permissible current ratings. Short-circuit analysis, selectivity, and protection coordination studies. Sizing of thermal-magnetic, residual-current, and protective relays.
* Conduit Design and Installation Layout
Design of cable trays and supports, underground and aerial conduit systems, and definition of electrical routing paths. Coordination with civil, mechanical, and instrumentation disciplines.
* Technical Documentation
Preparation of electrical drawings, cable schedules, load lists, and technical specifications. Document coding and control in accordance with ELMASA’s internal procedures.
* Procurement and Supplier Support
Technical review of quotations for electrical panels, low-voltage equipment, and electrical materials. Preparation of technical comparisons and definition of procurement specifications.
* Workshop and Site Execution Monitoring
Supervision of electrical installation, cable laying, and termination. Resolution of on-site interferences and incidents. Verification of project compliance.
* Commissioning
Participation in FAT/SAT tests and functional verification. Coordination with automation systems (PLC/SCADA) and operational teams.
* Technical Coordination
Liaison with clients, suppliers, and internal teams. Monitoring of scheduling, milestones, and technical quality — aligned with ELMASA’s defined technical roles in projects.
**What We Offer:**
* A professional, flexible, and dynamic work environment.
* Participation in innovative and highly interesting projects.
* Integration into highly qualified teams offering growth and professional development opportunities.
* Continuous training.
* Competitive remuneration based on candidate qualifications.
**Requirements:**
* Degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation/Industrial Technologies, or alternatively, a Higher Technical Diploma with proven experience.
* Minimum 3 years’ experience in similar positions.
* Knowledge of the Spanish Low-Voltage Electrotechnical Regulation (REBT) and its Technical Instructions (ITC-BT), as well as applicable UNE/IEC standards.
* Proficiency in electrical line, protection, and selectivity calculations.
* Experience integrating electric motors and frequency converters.
* Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical/EPLAN or equivalent software.
* Knowledge of industrial automation (PLC/SCADA) and instrumentation integration, as well as spoken and written English, will be considered advantageous.
* Ability to adapt to a multidisciplinary environment demanding high technical and organizational rigor.
* Strong communication skills, ability to work collaboratively, and results-oriented mindset.
* Willingness to travel according to project requirements.
**Reporting Line:**
Reports directly to the Head of the E+I+C Department.
