Production Director

**Description:** ---------------- Grup Carles is collaborating with a metalworking company in the Igualada area to hire a Production Director to succeed the current incumbent. If you have experience leading production teams in industrial environments, solid knowledge of continuous improvement, and wish to take on a challenge with direct responsibility for a benchmark plant in its sector, this is your opportunity! **What will you do on a daily basis?** * Lead the plant’s production department, managing a team of over 40 people distributed across two shifts (Monday to Friday), through section heads. * Plan production to ensure achievement of established objectives and deadlines. * Monitor and analyze strategic production KPIs: scrap rates, costs, OEE, and report on their evolution. * Drive continuous improvement projects (Lean Manufacturing, SMED, root cause analysis/Ishikawa, root cause analysis) and consolidate their tracking methodology. * Coordinate with Quality, Supply (logistics and warehouse), Maintenance, and other key departments, although these departments do not report directly to this position. **What do we offer?** * Join an established and benchmark company in the metalworking sector. * Direct responsibility for plant production, with direct reporting to General Management. * Central-shift working hours, with no remote work option. * Annual gross remuneration between €50,000 and €55,000, depending on profile and experience provided. **Requirements:** --------------- **What are we looking for in you?** * Engineering degree; Industrial, Mechanical or related fields are highly valued. * Prior experience leading production teams in industrial environments; experience in the metalworking or automotive sectors is strongly preferred. * Knowledge and hands-on experience applying continuous improvement methodologies: Lean Manufacturing, SMED, Ishikawa analysis, KPI tracking (OEE, costs, scrap rates). * Knowledge and experience with SAP. * Organized, decisive profile with strong planning and team leadership capabilities.
