




The R&D Project Manager is responsible for the chemical process development for the industrial production of APIs and the management of its project portfolio, reporting directly to the R&D Management on the progress of these projects. **Responsibilities** * Conduct bibliographic research on the project prior to experimental work using scientific databases such as Scifinder, Espacenet, etc. * Identify suppliers of raw materials and advanced intermediates by gathering necessary information and documentation * Collect toxicological information on products used in the process * Design laboratory experiments enabling the development of the chemical process across its various stages * Evaluate analytical results (HPLC, IR, NMR, MS, KF, etc.) derived from each experiment * Design functional tests required for raw materials to determine their acceptance or rejection * Establish and experimentally justify analytical specifications for raw materials, intermediates, and process controls * Identify major impurities in raw materials, intermediates, and final API * Design synthetic routes and corresponding experiments to obtain impurities defined in the process * Characterize different standards obtained within the project * Identify appropriate conditions for cleaning production equipment * Identify waste generated during the process; propose treatment if necessary * Draft documentation accompanying process development * Monitor raw material costs throughout process development * Perform safety assessments according to the HarsMeth methodology * Carry out technology transfer to enable industrialization of the developed process * Monitor the industrialization of the process (trial and validation batches) * Collaborate in resolving incidents occurring during industrial batch production * Evaluate proposed process changes * Collaborate in responding to *Deficiency Letters* from regulatory agencies * Work together with *R&D Development Chemists* in conducting experimental trials * Have knowledge of working in a GMP environment and food safety regulations **Why Ferrer?** * Positively impact society * Opportunity to participate in volunteer activities * Corporate culture based on trust and responsibility * Hybrid and collaborative work model * Opportunities for development and continuous learning * Meal vouchers in case of split working day * Flexible compensation * Employee support plan (psychological, legal, and financial counseling) If you are an empathetic, humble, curious, and optimistic person, Ferrer is your company!
