Job Summary:
Student of oenology, biology, or chemistry seeking laboratory internship experience, performing quality controls and physicochemical and microbiological analyses of base wines and finished products.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Laboratory practices in oenology with quality controls of base wines.
2. Analysis of physicochemical and microbiological parameters of finished products.
3. Support for departmental projects and handling of laboratory materials.
**We are currently seeking a student interested in completing an internship at Freixenet's Oenology Laboratory.**
**Responsibilities:**
* Perform quality controls on base wines used in Cava production.
* Daily monitoring of fermentation tanks.
* Analyze physicochemical and microbiological parameters of finished products.
* Analyze chromatograms (HPLC, GC, GC\-MS) to determine substances potentially present in wines related to food safety.
* Analyze and quantify heavy metals in samples.
* Handle and maintain laboratory equipment and materials.
* Support other departmental projects.
**Requirements:**
* Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program in oenology, biology, or chemistry.
* Availability to formalize an internship agreement with the university.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Minimum English proficiency level B2 is mandatory.
* German language knowledge is an advantage.
* Proficient user of Microsoft Office, with advanced Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables).
