We are seeking a kitchen assistant to join the team responsible for preparing meals for airlines at the Madrid airport area. Duties include assisting chefs with basic dishes such as omelets and salads, cutting and dicing vegetables and meats, monitoring cooking times, and maintaining cleanliness and order in work areas, in compliance with food hygiene and safety regulations. You will also assist in receiving and storing supplies, using kitchen equipment safely. This is a temporary position offering either part-time or full-time contracts, depending on requirements. A shuttle bus service is provided from various locations across the city. Shifts rotate between morning (7 a.m. to 3 p.m.) and afternoon (3 p.m. to 11 p.m.), Monday through Sunday, with rotating days off. The salary is €9.31 gross per hour, plus additional allowances. Minimum one year of experience is required, preferably in industrial kitchens or catering and event companies, with the ability to prepare multiple dishes using various techniques. Additionally, a valid food handler’s certificate is mandatory.
