Description

Job Summary: We are seeking a structural engineer with a solid technical background and a strong interest in timber structural calculation and parametric design to revolutionize sustainable construction. Key Highlights: 1. Structural design and calculation of timber buildings 2. Automation of calculation models and parametric workflows 3. Collaboration in the transformation towards sustainable construction At 011h, we are revolutionizing the construction industry to make it more sustainable, efficient, and digital. We design and build buildings with an industrialized vision, leveraging innovative technologies and planet-friendly materials such as timber. Our mission is clear: to build better—for everyone. We are Europe’s first end-to-end digital platform for construction. We combine architectural and engineering expertise with the power of technology to standardize processes, automate tasks, and scale solutions that transform the industry—without compromising design, quality, or positive impact. At 011h, design, construction, and software professionals collaborate in a dynamic, ambitious, and sustainability-driven environment. If you’re inspired by the idea of changing how the world is built, this is where you can turn that vision into reality. Currently, our operations are focused on Spain, with plans for international expansion in the coming years. Join our team and help us develop a solution for sustainable, accessible, and democratic construction. **The Challenge** We are looking for a **structural engineer** with a solid technical foundation and a strong interest in timber structural calculation and parametric design to join our structures team. This position is primarily aimed at junior profiles; however, candidates with greater experience will also be considered if they align with the role’s philosophy: interest in timber structural calculation, technical curiosity, analytical ability, and motivation for automation and process improvement. **Requirements** **What will you do at 011h?** * Participate in the structural design and calculation of timber buildings (CLT, GLULAM), from early stages through to construction documentation. * Develop and maintain structural analytical models, integrated with CAD and BIM models. * Contribute to internal initiatives to automate finite element software-based calculation model generation, using its API and parametric workflows linked to Revit or other environments. * Collaborate in defining the structural criteria for 011h’s construction system. * Prepare and review technical documentation: models, schematics, calculation reports, and validations. * Propose improvements to calculation, modeling, and automation processes, delivering real impact on projects. * Work in Design & Build environments with multidisciplinary teams and BIM methodology. **What profile are we looking for?** * Degree in Engineering or Architecture. * Strong foundation in structural analysis and structural reasoning ability. * Clear and demonstrated interest in timber structures. * Motivation for advanced structural calculation, parametric design, and automation. * Interest in and/or knowledge of programming applied to engineering. **We value** * Prior experience (even limited) in structural projects, especially timber. * Familiarity with finite element (FE) calculation software. * Use of programming (Python, C#, Grasshopper, or others) applied to calculation or modeling. * Experience with or familiarity with Revit, BIM, and CAD–BIM workflows. * Development of final degree projects (TFG/TFM) or personal projects related to structures, timber, or automation. * Interest in sustainability, industrialization, and carbon footprint reduction. **Benefits** * Real impact: be part of a company transforming construction toward a sustainable and planet-positive model. * Professional growth: individual development plan with opportunities for continuous learning and training. * Positive atmosphere and collaboration: a multidisciplinary, diverse team with a supportive and close-knit culture. * Well-being and work–life balance: we value the balance between your personal and professional life—enjoy two remote workdays per week. * Sustainable offices: pleasant spaces designed for collaboration and environmental respect. * 30 working days of vacation per year to enjoy your personal time. * Private health insurance with Alan and a flexible compensation plan, allowing you to adapt part of your salary to your needs (transport, meals, childcare, and more). At 011h, we foster diversity and inclusion. All individuals are welcome, regardless of origin, identity, orientation, age, or ability. We adapt the hiring process if needed. Join a team that values diverse perspectives and experiences.
