Among other things, what makes SGS special is our culture. **Job Description** We are seeking a Port Operations Coordinator to join our Tarragona team and lead the required port operations. You will be responsible for coordinating, optimizing, and supervising port operations, ensuring compliance with SGS’s quality, safety, and customer service standards. **Main Responsibilities:** * Lead and coordinate the operations team (inspectors and technical staff). * Plan and organize daily operations, optimizing resources and capabilities. * Supervise the execution of inspection services and ensure their technical quality. * Interact with clients and terminals, ensuring a high level of service. * Analyze and resolve operational incidents promptly and effectively. * Monitor performance indicators, operational reporting, and billing. * Participate in developing procedures, continuous improvement, and regulatory compliance. * Train and develop the team, enhancing their technical and operational capabilities. * Provide technical and operational support to other offices. **Requirements** * University degree in Nautical Science or Technical Engineering. * Prior experience managing operations in port, logistics, or industrial environments. * Experience leading operational teams. * Desirable experience in strategic planning and performance analysis. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and management systems. * Availability to work paid weekend and night shifts. * Valid driver’s license and personal vehicle. * English: B2\-C1 **Key Competencies** * Leadership and team management skills. * Strong organizational and planning abilities. * Results-oriented mindset and problem-solving capability. * Communication and client relationship skills. * Technical rigor and focus on quality. **Additional Information** **What will you find at SGS?** * We are a multinational leader in our sector, operating across virtually all industrial sectors. * What SGS employees value most is our positive working environment. * We provide technical and soft-skills training to support your professional growth. * We offer Flexible Compensation and special discounts for SGS employees. * We are a sustainable company committed to social issues.
