For our production plant in **Terrassa**, specialized in manufacturing complex chemical products for the paper industry and water treatment, we are launching a recruitment process to hire a Laboratory Responsible. This position supports our strategic business development and aims to independently manage the day-to-day operational activities of the quality control laboratory.

**Key Responsibilities**
As **Laboratory Responsible**, you will coordinate, execute, and supervise quality control activities, reporting directly to the Laboratory Management and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards.
Your main responsibilities will include:
* **Guarantee quality control** of raw materials, intermediates, finished products, and water across a portfolio of approximately 125 specialty chemicals.
* **Provide active support to the Quality Management System in full compliance with ISO 9001**, while also ensuring adherence to safety, environmental, and *Responsible Care* program standards.
* **Design and supervise laboratory tests**, validations, and stability studies in accordance with established corporate procedures.
* **Interpret analytical results** and collaborate closely with the Production Department to define analytical adjustments and optimize production processes.
* **Manage the calibration and maintenance schedule** for laboratory equipment, ensuring maximum operational availability.
* **Act as the technical reference point**, taking responsibility for training plant personnel on new analytical methods and quality regulations, and collaborating with process technicians at the European level.
* **Supervise proper document management**, issuance of quality certificates, and control of laboratory reagent and material stock levels.
**Candidate Requirements**
* **Education:** University degree or equivalent in **Chemistry** or a related scientific discipline.
* **Experience:** Minimum of **5 years of demonstrable experience** in quality control laboratories, preferably within the chemical industry.
* **Mandatory hands-on experience:** Proven, essential experience working directly with **chemical products** in manufacturing plants (purely office-based or theoretical profiles will not be considered).
* **Languages:** Advanced **English** (spoken and written), required for technical communication at the European level.
* **Technical knowledge:** Solid proficiency in instrumental analytical techniques, Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), and Quality Management Systems. Familiarity with SAP, MS Office tools, and Safety Data Sheet (SDS) preparation is advantageous.

**Working Hours and Location**
* **Monday to Thursday:** 07:30 – 17:00 (including a full one-hour lunch break).
* **Friday:** 08:00 – 14:00\.
* **Location:** Fully on-site position at the Terrassa (Barcelona) plant.
