Description

We are seeking a gerocultor/a. The gerocultor/a is the essential figure who supports residents' daily well-being through direct care and assistance in all activities of daily living—from personal hygiene and feeding to safe mobilization and emotional companionship. Their role extends beyond physical support; they serve as the primary observer of the resident's condition, promptly communicating any relevant changes to the healthcare team and ensuring that the resident's environment remains dignified, clean, and comfortable. Ultimately, they are the most human and constant link within the facility, combining technical caregiving skills with special sensitivity to promote autonomy and quality of life for older adults. Personal hygiene and grooming: Perform daily bathing, showers, skin care, shaving, and absorbent product changes, respecting the resident's privacy. Assistance with feeding: Help residents who require feeding support and ensure adequate hydration throughout the shift. Mobilizations and transfers: Carry out preventive repositioning and assist with movement within the facility, using hoists or wheelchairs when necessary. Monitoring and observation: Detect physical changes (e.g., redness or loss of appetite) or emotional changes and immediately report them to the healthcare team. Environmental maintenance: Make beds, keep rooms orderly, and manage soiled laundry for washing. Emotional companionship: Listen to and accompany residents in their daily lives, encouraging their autonomy and participation in leisure activities. Incident documentation: Record performed activities and any relevant observations on the resident's tracking sheets. * Minimum 1 month of experience. Prior experience in the sector is ideal but not mandatory. * PROFESSIONAL SPECIALIZATION CERTIFICATE * Indefinite-term employment contract * Full-time schedule * Additional information of interest: Position involves a weekly schedule from Monday to Friday, 7.5 hours per day.
