**Job Summary**
The Additive Manufacturing R&D Engineer will be responsible for operating Binder Jetting and extrusion-based technologies. Key responsibilities include: (a) practical preparation and handling of materials for both processes; (b) operation, monitoring, and maintenance of 3D printing equipment; and (c) leading new product introduction (NPI) activities.
Specific Responsibilities
* Lead powder production using the R\+D spray dryer:
+ Enhance laboratory grinding capabilities.
+ Take ownership of the spray dryer equipment to increase its utilization and support development of new powder grades.
+ Lead production of print-ready powders.
* Lead prototyping manufacturing for Binder Jetting and FDM business cases.
* Develop and produce raw materials for FDM technology:
+ Increase laboratory capacity to produce FDM-targeted raw materials.
+ Expand the portfolio of Hyperion powder grades available for FDM.
* Share responsibility for preventive and corrective maintenance of laboratory equipment, including development of operating instructions and consumables management.
* Work in an international environment and provide technical support across the organization for customer applications and internal manufacturing challenges.
* Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures regarding health, safety, environment, and quality (HSEQ).
* Lead initiatives aimed at improving organization, order, and cleanliness of shared laboratory spaces, including but not limited to cabinets, toolboxes, package receiving areas, and powder storage zones.
**Ideal Profile:**
* University degree in Engineering, Chemistry, or a related discipline.
* Practical experience or familiarity with laboratory environments and 3D printing technologies.
* Strong oral and written communication skills in English.
* Required experience: 1–3 years in cemented carbide powder metallurgy and additive manufacturing.
* Willingness to travel: 10%.
