We’re looking for you!** We seek a candidate with a background in **Operations and Manufacturing in Chemical Plants**, reporting to the **Senior Operations Manager**, to carry out the **mission** of leading shift-based manufacturing activities — ensuring safe, efficient, and goal-aligned production in accordance with operational and quality targets. ### **What will your day-to-day look like at Matteco?** As Shift Lead, your key responsibilities will include: * **Executing manufacturing activities**, ensuring both quality and shift productivity (*throughput*). * **Leading and fostering a proactive safety culture**, overseeing strict regulatory compliance, identifying potential risks, and ensuring the team works in a safe environment to achieve zero incidents. * **Managing and coordinating** operators and technicians. * **Ensuring compliance** with safety standards, work procedures, and quality controls throughout the process. * **Monitoring process performance**, escalating any deviations, and ensuring adherence to the production plan. * **Serving as the Subject Matter Expert (SME)** for machinery operation and process execution — performing frontline troubleshooting and minor maintenance. * **Training and mentoring** operators on processes and safety. * Maintaining production quality and supporting pilot plant operations or ramp\-up simulations. * Proposing **process improvements** and cost-reduction initiatives, reporting results. ### **What will make you succeed in this role?** * **Education:** Technical degree in Chemistry, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. * **Experience:** 5+ years in manufacturing operations or pilot plants, ideally within the chemical sector. * **Leadership:** Demonstrable experience coordinating teams and managing personnel. * **Knowledge:** Solid understanding of process safety and familiarity with *Lean Manufacturing* principles. * **Competencies:** Ability to solve problems and make decisions in uncertain environments. ### **Why should you consider working at Matteco?** * ‍‍We are a group united by a shared passion and mission: to **address environmental, social, and economic challenges**, and thus build a better future (with world-class ESG and Impact experts — what we claim is true and measurable). * ️ We are an ***Employee-Centric Culture*** organization, therefore continuously developing well-being-focused initiatives: + We offer 22 days of **vacation** \+ birthday leave \+ December 24 and 31 off. + **On-site work model**: We operate from our plant in Paterna. + And if all this isn’t enough, our Management and People teams conduct **regular follow-ups and periodic 1:1 meetings**, giving you space to voice personal and professional concerns.
