Description
The position is based in an industrial environment, focused on the comprehensive maintenance of plant equipment and systems. Key responsibilities include performing scheduled preventive maintenance tasks, involving periodic inspection of components, lubrication, adjustments, and planned replacements to ensure operational continuity and prevent failures. Similarly, corrective maintenance must be carried out to address unexpected breakdowns, diagnosing root causes of both mechanical and electrical issues and executing necessary repairs to restore functionality as quickly as possible. This role requires a deep understanding of electromechanical principles to interpret blueprints, electrical diagrams, and technical manuals, ensuring all interventions comply with established safety and quality standards. The job involves constant collaboration with other departments—such as production and logistics—to coordinate equipment shutdowns and minimize impact on the manufacturing chain. The ultimate objective is to contribute to overall efficiency, reduce unplanned downtime, and extend asset lifespan through proactive and reactive maintenance management. The ability to propose improvements to maintenance processes and meticulously document all interventions—creating a useful technical history for future analysis—is highly valued.

The salary range will be determined based on the candidate’s prior experience in similar roles, with opportunities for professional development within the organization. Work will be conducted in accordance with applicable industrial safety and hygiene protocols.
A Medium or Higher Vocational Training Degree in technical fields such as Electromechanics or Industrial Maintenance is required. A minimum of two years’ demonstrable experience in maintenance functions—covering both mechanical and electrical aspects—in industrial production environments is essential. The candidate must be available to work in the Ólvega area and capable of independently diagnosing and repairing faults.
