This position focuses on the comprehensive operation of the butcher department within a commercial environment. Key responsibilities include the preparation and handling of meat products, ensuring all processes comply with the highest standards of quality and food hygiene. The professional will serve as the direct point of contact with customers, addressing inquiries, advising on cuts and products, and managing special orders — always with a service-oriented and proactive attitude. Additionally, it is essential to maintain the work area in optimal condition by regularly performing cleaning tasks, organizing the display case, and monitoring inventory. The role demands high responsibility and commitment to customer satisfaction, ensuring product presentation and freshness remain exceptional at all times. Time management and the ability to work efficiently across shifts — which may include both morning and afternoon schedules — are critical to success in this position. The work environment is dynamic and requires constant adaptation to business needs and customer traffic flows, directly contributing to the smooth operation of both the department and the store as a whole.
Working hours run from Monday to Saturday, with two days off per week. Scheduled shifts are morning shifts from 8:20 to 15:15 and afternoon shifts from 14:45 to 21:45. Initial hiring is conducted via a one-month temporary contract, with salary aligned to the applicable collective bargaining agreement. Depending on performance and company needs, there is the possibility of transitioning to a permanent position after the initial probationary period.
A minimum of one year of demonstrable experience in a similar role within the butcher or food sector is required. Immediate availability to join the team is mandatory. Candidates must possess practical knowledge of various meat cuts, butchering techniques, and basic food handling regulations. Specific training in this field is considered a positive asset, though not an exclusive requirement.
