### **Responsibilities** * Analyze, maintain, and evolve core applications based on COBOL technology. * Perform technical analysis and reverse engineering on legacy systems, identifying and documenting business rules embedded in the code. * Extract functional and technical knowledge directly from applications with little or no documentation. * Participate in legacy system modernization and transformation initiatives. * Analyze and maintain batch processes, COBOL programs, and associated JCLs. * Manage and optimize integrations between COBOL environments and Java applications. * Perform end\-to\-end traceability of processes between backend and frontend. * Collaborate with technical and functional teams to ensure proper application evolution. * Act as a technical reference for legacy environments and facilitate knowledge transfer to new architectures. * Resolve complex incidents and participate in defining technical solutions. ### **Requirements** * Solid experience as a COBOL developer or technical specialist. * Experience preferably in Micro Focus COBOL environments. * Experience in mainframe COBOL will also be valued. * In-depth knowledge of legacy core systems. * Experience in legacy application modernization or transformation projects. * Proficiency in code analysis and reverse engineering. * Ability to identify and reconstruct business logic from source code. * Knowledge of COBOL, batch processing, and JCL. * Experience working with Oracle databases. * Knowledge of integrations between COBOL applications and Java environments. * Ability to understand business processes and translate them into technical solutions. * Autonomous, proactive, and problem-solving oriented profile. * Ability to communicate with clients and act as a bridge between legacy systems and new architectures. * Communication, documentation, and knowledge transfer skills.
